Job Description

Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Design Engineer with strong expertise in Autodesk Plant 3D and a solid background in mechanical design for industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in various piping and layout-related deliverables and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Develop and review GA drawings, Equipment layouts , Foundation layouts , Piping routing , Piping Layouts, Piping Isometrics, Pipe Supports, Tank drawings , Platform, and structure drawings and BOQ using AutoCAD Plant 3D. Can read, understand and identify the P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams). Coordinate with design, process, engineering, and site erection team. Ensure adherence to industry standards, piping standards, drawing standards, project specifications and scope. Support site team with design clarifications and resolve technical queries. Prepare documentation and drawing deliverables for project milestones and client approvals. Travel to project sites (~10%) for site supervision, and project coordination with site execution teams. Preferred candidate profile Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years relevant industry experience, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Mandatory Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Plant3D . Sound knowledge of piping codes, materials, and industrial design standards. Experience in preparing all key design deliverables in piping and layout engineering. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables. Added Advantages (Not Mandatory): Willingness to travel to project sites (approx. 10% of the time) for supervision and coordination. Familiarity with pipe stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II . Experience with SolidWorks for mechanical modeling or layout integration. Salary: Negotiable, Best in the industry , based on experience and skill level.
