Job Description Position: Training and Placement Officer Location: Gopalan National School (North) Mavallipura, Kondashettihalli, Hesaragatta Road, Bangalore Position Summary: The Training and Placement Officer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between students and potential employers. This role involves liaising with industries, identifying training needs, organizing placement activities, and ensuring students are well-prepared for their career paths. The officer is responsible for developing strong industry relationships, guiding students in their job search, and coordinating placement activities to enhance student employability. Key Responsibilities: 1. Industry Liaison and Placement Coordination: Establish and maintain strong industry connections for placement opportunities. Organize campus recruitment drives and off-campus placement opportunities. Act as a link between students, alumni, and the employment community. Assist companies in recruiting candidates as per their requirements. 2. Student Career Development and Training: Identify and address the training needs of students. Organize placement training programs, including interview preparation and group discussion sessions. Guide students in developing job search strategies and career plans. Assist students in clarifying their academic and career interests. 3. Placement Campaign and Employer Engagement: Conduct an extensive placement campaign to attract recruiters. Develop promotional materials, including audio-video presentations and handouts, to showcase the institution to potential employers. Provide recruitment-related information to companies and maintain employer relationships. Ensure right placement for the right candidate to maximize student success. 4. Database Management and Communication: Maintain and update a comprehensive database of student profiles across departments. Communicate student resumes to potential employers. Keep track of job advertisements relevant to student profiles. Inform students about placement schedules, recruitment drives, and job opportunities. 5. Administrative Responsibilities: Propose and manage the annual Training & Placement budget. Obtain necessary approvals from the principal for on-campus recruitment drives. Ensure all placement-related documentation, including appointment letters, is shared with department heads and placement coordinators. Place resource requests in advance and coordinate logistics for placement activities. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's/Masters degree in a relevant field (Education, Business, Human Resources, or related area). Experience: Prior experience in training, placement, or career counseling preferred. Skills: Strong networking and relationship-building skills with industry professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct career counseling and training programs effectively. Proficiency in database management and career-related technology. Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
