Policy Manager

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Draft, review, and maintain internal policies and procedures across business, credit, operations, collections, and compliance functions. Ensure all policies align with applicable regulatory frameworks and industry best practices. Periodically assess existing policies to identify gaps, risks, or improvement opportunities, and update accordingly. Facilitate stakeholder consultations and approval workflows for new and revised policy documents. Maintain a centralized policy repository with version control, access rights, and audit trail. Conduct policy awareness sessions and training programs for relevant teams. Monitor policy adherence and support audit/compliance reviews and inspections. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operational teams for cross-functional inputs and alignment. Support the implementation of policy changes through SOPs, checklists, and user communication. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors or Masters degree in Law, Finance, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in policy governance, regulatory compliance, or process risk management in NBFCs, banks, or consulting firms. Strong understanding of RBI Master Directions, credit risk frameworks, and operational procedures. Excellent drafting, articulation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in MS Office, documentation tools, and policy management platforms. Strong analytical and documentation skills with a detail-oriented approach. Experience in setting up policy governance frameworks. Exposure to internal audit, risk control matrix (RCM), frameworks. Understanding of process digitization, workflow automation, or policy tech tools.
