Job Role PBI Model Developer Experience - 4+ years Job description We are looking for an experienced Power BI Model Developer to join our team and support semantic model development in Power BI. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI data modeling, DAX, and SQL to design and optimize efficient, scalable, and business-ready data models. Responsibilities Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models to support business reporting and analytics. Design and implement star and snowflake schemas for efficient data modeling. Write and optimize DAX calculations to enhance analytical capabilities. Develop SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data efficiently. Ensure data integrity, governance, and performance tuning within Power BI datasets. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models. Implement security roles and row-level security (RLS) in Power BI models. Work closely with data engineers to ensure smooth data integration from various sources.. Requirement 4+ years of experience in Power BI data modeling and development. Strong expertise in DAX functions and advanced calculations. Proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures). Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling. Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or other cloud data solutions (preferred). Understanding of best practices in Power BI governance, security, and performance tuning. Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in an onshore environment with direct stakeholder interactions. Knowledge of Power BI Premium, Composite Models, and Direct Query. Experience with Python or Power Automate for advanced reporting automation.
