We are close to 300 plus people across Australia and India and looking for a candidate that is confident to take on a challenge to lead our Power BI division. With operations in Sydney (Australia), Bangalore and Hyderabad (India), a critical thinker with strong process discipline would be a sound fit for this role. Power BI Development Team Lead/ Manager Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of complex Power BI solutions, for both Financial and Non-Financial projects. Oversee the end-to-end development process, from requirements gathering to solution delivery. Collaborate with business analysts and clients to ensure solutions meet business needs and objectives . Reviewing the work of other team members. Reviewing commits and approving pull requests. Manage Deployment of projects. Mentor and guide junior Power BI developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring quality standards are met. Manage work items on a Scrum board, ensuring tasks are properly tracked, prioritised, and completed within sprints. Optimise data models and reports for performance and scalability. Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and tools, and share knowledge with the team. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development process. Suggest and implement process improvements. Assisting with administrative tasks such as invoicing, etc. as required. Candidate Profile: Leadership : A strong leader who can mentor, guide, and inspire a team of Power BI developers. Problem-Solving : A critical thinker with a hands-on approach to tackling technical challenges and optimising solutions. Communication : Able to articulate complex technical concepts in a way that stakeholders and team members can easily understand. Organisation & Time Management : Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are prioritised effectively. Prioritisation : Skilled at identifying the most critical tasks and focusing resources on the highest-impact activities to ensure project success. Attention to Detail : Thorough in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance in all solutions delivered. Proactive Learner : Enthusiastic about staying up to date with new Power BI features and ideas, incorporating them into your projects. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related). 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including semantic model creation, report design, and data visualization. 3+ years of experience leading a team or mentoring junior developers, with a strong focus on collaboration and best practices. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), including managing branches, submitting, and approving pull requests to ensure code quality, consistency, and proper integration across the team. Familiarity with Agile methodology in project management tools like Jira or DevOps is a plus, with experience working in a structured sprint environment.
