Job Description: Power Electronics Engineer Project: Energy storage application Experience : 2-5 yrs Salary: As per industry norms About the Role: Power Electronics Engineer will contribute to the development of cutting-edge control schemes and hardware solutions for the Energy storage application. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, developing, and testing power electronics systems with an emphasis on motor drive solutions, converters, inverters, and energy management systems. Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Design, simulate, and develop power electronics circuits and systems, including SRM drive converters and control schemes. Develop power electronics solutions for SRM drives, SRM generators, and DC-DC converters. Select appropriate components such as power semiconductor switches and sub-systems. Apply advanced control techniques to optimize system performance and efficiency. Testing & Validation: Conduct in-depth testing and validation of power electronics systems, ensuring alignment with performance, efficiency, and energy integration requirements. Use simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, and PSpice to model, simulate, and validate designs. Diagnose and resolve issues related to efficiency, circuit performance, thermal management, and overall system reliability. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and validation reports, ensuring clarity and precision. Provide clear analysis of test results, offering recommendations for optimization and improvements . Skills and Qualifications: Education: Btech & Mtech in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electric Drives, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in power conversion systems, inverters, converters, renewable energy systems, and motor drives. Familiarity with rapid control prototyping tools such as dSPACE, DSP, FPGA, OPAL-RT. and Typhoon is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency in simulation, modeling tools such as MATLAB and other tools. Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices (e.g., MOSFET, IGBT), passive components, magnetic components, converter design, and real-time control techniques. Experience with power electronics systems in energy applications is highly desirable. Show more Show less
