Overview The Pre Primary Dance Teacher plays a vital role in fostering a love for dance and movement among young children in Whitefield. Key Responsibilities Design and implement age appropriate dance curricula for pre primary students. Create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to express themselves. Introduce various dance styles and techniques to enhance childrens understanding of movement. Plan engaging lessons that cater to different learning abilities within the class. Encourage creativity and self expression through music and dance. Monitor each child s development and provide individualized feedback. Organize and prepare for performances and showcases for parents and the school community. Collaborate with other educators to integrate dance with broader educational themes. Communicate regularly with parents about their child s progress and encourage involvement. Maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere. Incorporate storytelling and imaginative play into dance lessons. Evaluate and adapt teaching methods to meet the evolving needs of students. Attend ongoing professional development workshops and training sessions. Implement health and safety standards during classes. Encourage teamwork and social skills through group activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Dance, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Certification in pre primary dance education is preferred. Proven experience teaching dance to children, particularly in a pre primary setting. Strong knowledge of different dance styles, including ballet, jazz, and creative movement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and inspire young children. Patience and adaptability in handling diverse learning styles.
