Job Description Position: A. Pre-Primary Teacher (All Subjects) B. Middle and High School Teacher (Hindi and Social Science) Location: Gopalan National School (North) Mavallipura, Kondashettihalli, Hesaragatta Road, Bangalore Position Summary: Teachers at Gopalan National School (North) play a pivotal role in educating and preparing students for higher education and future careers. They are responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student success. Key Responsibilities: 1. Instructional Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and cater to diverse student needs. Employ a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning styles. Integrate technology and interactive activities to enhance learning experiences. 2. Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Establish and enforce rules for student behavior and maintain classroom discipline. Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students while managing classroom resources effectively. 3. Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding. Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance and attendance. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents on academic and behavioral performance. 4. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with educational best practices. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share resources. Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and school events as required. 5. Student Support and Guidance: Identify individual student learning needs and provide additional support where necessary. Offer academic guidance and mentorship to help students achieve their educational goals. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and concerns. 6. School and Community Involvement: Actively participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and community initiatives. Serve on school committees and contribute to overall school improvement efforts. Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader community. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area. Certification: Valid state teaching certification for the subject and grade level. Experience: Previous teaching experience at the school level preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of the subject matter and curriculum standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Proficiency in classroom management and student assessment techniques. Competency in using educational technology and software.
