Pricing Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities (or attach the Job Description) : Understand customer needs to strategy the costing and or pricing. Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability. Coordinates with airlines, shippers, local and overseas agents for the quoting process of shipments. Maintaining continuous communication with vendors, shippers, carriers and other branch offices throughout the quotation process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs. Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor, manager, or department head. Follow up to ensure the freight is cleared and delivered to customer on time, update systems accordingly Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and/or quotations for shipments/services within our clients database. Display a thorough understanding of industry-related terminology and processes. Strategize ways of increasing profits margins, while keeping cost at a minimum. Assist the sales team with business development and securing new business initiatives. Required Qualifications / Experience (not mentioned above or in the JD) : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field Masters Degree in Business Administration (International Business Management) will be added advantage. Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills Pricing and inside sales experience and understanding Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks Proficiency in relevant software and tools Ability to work effectively in a team environment Experience in the logistics or shipping industry is a plus Willingness to travel locally and nationally for site visits, vendor meetings, and project supervision.
