Overview The Primary Lower Secondary English Teacher for the Cambridge Curriculum plays a vital role in fostering an engaging and effective learning environment for students aged 5 to 14 years. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Primary and Lower Secondary English. Facilitate engaging classroom discussions that promote student participation and curiosity. Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles. Assess student performance through formal and informal measures and provide constructive feedback. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity and promotes equality. Create educational resources and materials that support the Cambridge curriculum. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate subjects and enhance interdisciplinary instruction. Involve parents in their child s educational journey through regular communication and updates. Organize and participate in extracurricular activities and school events. Incorporate technology effectively into teaching practices. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Support students in developing social and emotional skills alongside academic skills. Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a productive learning environment. Stay updated with educational policies, trends, and best practices in English teaching. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification relevant to Primary and Lower Secondary education. Experience teaching English in a Cambridge curriculum setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum standards. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to design and deliver engaging lesson plans. Proficient in using educational technology and digital resources. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents. Cultural awareness and sensitivity towards diverse student backgrounds.
