This role includes creating lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction across various subjects, managing classroom activities, and promoting social, emotional, and academic growth. Responsibilities and Duties: Curriculum Development and Instruction: Develop weekly lesson plans that align with the schools curriculum and educational standards. Teach foundational subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and accommodate different learning styles. Classroom Management: Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Implement classroom rules and procedures that maintain discipline and support effective learning. Manage classroom resources and maintain an organized and welcoming classroom space. Student Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress. Use assessments to adjust instructional strategies and provide targeted support. Provide feedback to students in a constructive and supportive manner. Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Prepare reports of student performance and behavior for parent-teacher conferences. Involve parents in the learning process through activities like homework, reading tasks, and special projects. Student Support and Development: Monitor and support the social, emotional, and academic development of students. Identify students needs and collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and specialists to provide additional support. Encourage positive behaviors and peer relationships among students. Professional Development: Participate in professional development programs to enhance teaching skills. Stay updated with the latest educational research and teaching methodologies. Share best practices with colleagues and contribute to staff meetings and school improvement plans. Extracurricular Involvement: Lead or assist with school events, clubs, and extracurricular activities. Encourage student participation in activities that support their interests and talents. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree Valid teaching certificate or B.Ed Experience in teaching at the primary level, particularly with Grades 1 and 2. Strong understanding of child development and primary educational strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in managing diverse classroom settings. Skills: Effective classroom management skills. Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans. Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. Capacity to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff. Empathy and ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
