Were looking for Principal Engineer to work on the NextGen connectivity platform across platforms. This is an outstanding opportunity to help build an ambitious future for our flagship product. What Youll Do: Architectural Leadership: Provide engineering leadership in the development, documentation, and maintenance of software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop highly performant, secure and resilient microservices for web applications. Automation Strategies: Collaborate with development engineers to devise automation strategies, test cases, and enhance existing functionality. Agile Practices: Adopt agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of services. Test Automation: Research, evaluate, and evangelise test automation framework approaches for web, server-side, and mobile technologies. Code Reviews and Mentorship: Perform code reviews for software development engineers and mentor junior team members. Technical Roadmap: Own the overall technical roadmap of engineering in collaboration with development and QA teams. Implement and maintain efficient, reusable, and scalable code. Work closely with product designers to translate design concepts into services that can be consumed by UI applications. Integration of server-side APIs in collaboration with UI developers. Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in backend development. What You ll Need: Bachelor s or Master degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in Java/Spring development Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on Java and Spring Framework. Solid understanding of the Spring Boot ecosystem and its core principles. Proficiency in Message Oriented Middleware standards- AMQP, MQTT. Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases... Experience working with TDD (Test Driven Development). Experience with version control systems (Git). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Principal Backend Engineer should demonstrate technical leadership. This includes mentoring junior engineers, making architectural decisions, and driving technical excellence Self-motivated and willing to take initiatives.
