Job Description

Role & responsibilities The senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing procurement operations, ensuring a secure supply chain, maintaining supplier relationships, and optimizing costs while upholding quality and ethical standards. The role requires strategic planning, risk management, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Supply Chain Security & Risk Management Ensure the uninterrupted supply of materials/products by identifying and mitigating procurement risks. Develop strategies to secure reliable sources for key categories. Supplier Relationship Management Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies. Quality Assurance Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure product and material quality standards are met. Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives. Innovation & Technology Utilization Identify and introduce new technologies and innovations to improve procurement processes. Leverage data analytics and automation tools to optimize supply chain performance. Cost Control & Optimization Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality and supply security. Monitor market trends and optimize procurement strategies accordingly. Inventory Management Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to enhance inventory efficiency. Ethics & Compliance Promote ethical procurement practices and adherence to company values. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate guidelines. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience as a buyer, preferably in milk and milk-based products. Knowledge and Skills Understanding of material to buy and the market. Understanding of procurement and planning. Strong coordination skills. Strong MS Office especially MS Excel skills and SAP.
