Email: jagannaath@kamms.net Procurement & Sourcing Manager Position Name: Procurement & Sourcing Manager Position Type: Permanent Job Location: Chennai/ Bangalore/ Hyderabad Job description Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end procurement process for the company from identifying sourcing needs to placing orders and ensuring delivery. Research, identify, and onboard vendors/suppliers for required products or services; build a reliable vendor network and maintain healthy supplier relationships. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement while meeting quality and timeline requirements. Monitor inventory levels (if applicable) and coordinate purchasing schedules to prevent stock-outs or overstocking, aligning supply with operational demand. Evaluate supplier performance regularly (quality, cost, delivery times) and develop improvement or alternative sourcing plans as needed. Work closely with the operations team to forecast procurement needs and with the finance team to manage procurement budgets and payment terms. Ensure all purchase activities are well-documented and compliant with company policies and any regulatory standards. Stay updated on market trends and prices for key materials/services to anticipate changes and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. Experience: Approximately 3 to 6 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles (preferably including experience in a fast-paced or startup environment). Strong negotiation and communication skills proven ability to negotiate favorable terms and build rapport with vendors. Solid understanding of sourcing strategies, vendor evaluation, and inventory management principles. Analytical mindset with experience in cost analysis and budgeting. Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or any e-procurement tools). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in purchase orders and contract terms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously. Ethical and transparent approach to procurement, upholding integrity in vendor interactions and selections.
