Job Description

Role:We are seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and prototyping. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering design principles and experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) processes, materials, or part optimization. This role is crucial to turning product concepts into reality through innovative design and agile iteration. Responsibilities:Design and develop components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360).Optimize designs for manufacturability, 3D printing, and functional performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, post-processing) to iterate and validate designs.Prepare and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, drawings, and design reports.Work with vendors or internal teams to select materials and fabrication methods.Work with customers to understand product specifications and translate to the drawing boardContribute to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) practices. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.3–5 years of industry experience in mechanical or product design roles.Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or CATIA).Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, tolerancing, and materials.Exposure to or hands-on experience in 3D printing / additive manufacturing.Good problem-solving and communication skills with a self-driven attitude Preferred Qualifications:Experience with generative design or topology optimization for 3D printed parts.Understanding of polymer or metal AM processes (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS, DMLS).Familiarity with simulation tools (FEA/CFD) is a plus.Experience working in a startup or agile development environment.
