Product Engineer / Sr. Product Engineer - Mechanical (Combustion Performance skills) We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Product Engineer / Sr. Product Engineer - Mechanical with 4 to 6 years of specialized experience in combustion performance. This critical role focuses on optimizing the performance and efficiency of our engine systems. Your primary responsibilities will involve extensive engine testing on various test cells and test beds to evaluate combustion characteristics, fuel efficiency, emissions, and power output. You will be responsible for planning and executing detailed test matrixes, collecting high-fidelity data, and operating complex engine testing equipment. A significant part of this role will be dedicated to in-depth data analysis, interpreting combustion waveforms, analyzing pressure traces, and correlating test results with theoretical models. You will also be involved in calibration activities to fine-tune engine parameters for optimal combustion and emission control. This position requires a strong understanding of internal combustion engine thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion chemistry. You will collaborate closely with R&D, design, and calibration teams to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot combustion-related issues, and implement effective solutions to enhance engine performance and meet emission regulations. Prior experience with combustion analysis tools and techniques is highly valued.
