Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shift Engineer - Production to oversee and manage production operations in our cable manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the shift. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Preferred candidate profile Shift Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Process Optimization: Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Ensure proper functioning of production machinery, diagnose faults, and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs. Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the companys quality standards and compliance requirements. Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety regulations and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines. Team Leadership: Guide and mentor production operators and technicians to maintain high levels of performance and efficiency. Production Reporting: Maintain accurate production logs, downtime reports, and shift handover documentation. Material Management: Ensure the availability of raw materials and coordinate with the supply chain team for inventory management. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.
