Production Engineer - Polymer Industry

Job Description

Job Responsibilities Operate and maintain the Barrier Film plant, with a focus on Barrier and PE Films extrusion process. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize machine utilization. Monitor and control process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and minimize waste. Supervise and train production staff, fostering a collaborative work environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Troubleshoot extrusion equipment and process issues to maintain smooth operations. Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime. Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials. Prepare detailed production reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in barrier film extrusion or a similar manufacturing process and good to skills for operating water quench extrusion line. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing. Familiarity with extrusion equipment and maintenance procedures. Skills Production planning and process optimization. Quality control and assurance. Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong communication and organizational skills. Time management and multitasking abilities. Manage Stores, dispatch and ensure GMP standards in the plant.
