Job Description

Operating and Maintaining Equipment: Production Technicians are responsible for operating various equipment, including presses, mills, casters, and ovens, to process steel. They also perform routine maintenance, ensuring equipment is in good working order. Monitoring Production Processes: They monitor and make adjustments to production processes to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. Quality Control: Performing quality control checks, inspecting finished products, and identifying any issues that may arise are essential. Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment, and potentially educating coworkers on safety regulations are also important. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of production activities is crucial for tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement. Troubleshooting: Identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues to ensure continuous production flow is a key task. Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to address production challenges and implement improvements. Training: Potential tasks include training new employees on production processes and equipment operation.
