Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager (Automotive) with expertise in Unigraphics CAD, prototype development, and vehicle BOM management. The role involves design validation, supplier coordination, GD&T analysis, and engineering change management to drive high-quality product development. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, EV design experience, and a deep understanding of automotive systems, safety standards, and validation testing. Main Responsibilities : Product Design & CAD Modeling : Utilize Unigraphics software tools for product design and CAD modeling. Prototype Development : Develop and refine product prototypes to validate design concepts. E&E Architecture Integration : Apply knowledge of Electrical & Electronics (E&E) architecture in product development. BOM & Release Management : Manage Vehicle Bill of Materials (BOM) and oversee release processes. Engineering Change Management : Handle Engineering Change Notices (ECN) to ensure smooth design modifications. DFX Implementation : Prepare and implement DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, and other design evaluation methodologies. GD&T & Tolerance Analysis : Conduct Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and perform tolerance stack-up analysis. Design Documentation : Prepare and maintain design review documents for project approvals. Prototype & Manufacturing Support : Assist in prototype builds, manufacturing, and production feasibility analysis. Supplier Collaboration : Engage with suppliers to support product development and ensure quality standards. System & Supplier Selection : Assist in selecting suitable systems and suppliers based on technical and cost considerations. Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution : Troubleshoot assembly issues, conduct failure analysis, and implement corrective actions. Prototype Testing & Validation : Support prototype testing, verification, and performance evaluation. Skills Required: Good knowledge for Protype development. Indent Preparation. Loading of parts to proto Shop for development. Convey the correct procedure for part fitment. Basic knowledge in Traction Motors, Motor Controllers, DC-DC Converters, Battery Systems, BMS (Battery Management System), BDI (Battery Status Display Unit) or Instrument Cluster, Chargers etc. Good Knowledge of Vehicle BOM Preparation in PLM and MS Excel. Should know how to manage the ECN and to communicate effectively with affecting agency including suppliers. Conversant with DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS etc. Conversant with GD&T and Tolerance Stack Up Analysis Knowledge of EMI / EMC standards, regulations & design and method to avoid the same. Knowledge of Safety Standards, Best Practices. Good knowledge of national & international Standards, Statutory Regulations related to design of various systems, vehicles, Golf Carts etc. Good knowledge of Design Verification / Validation Testing requirements & methods / standards for vehicle & systems etc. Good Problem Solving skill, Awareness of RCA, (Root Cause Analysis), ICA / PCA, 8D & 5W Analysis, FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) etc. Understanding of various Quality systems, APQP etc. Good Communication & Presentation Skill. Qualification: BE- Mechanical/Mechatronics Experience: 10-12 Years in Automotive Design preferably in OEMs, or Tire-1 suppliers. Exposure to Four Wheeler or Golf Cart Design will be preferred. EV Design Experience preferred. Vehicle Integration and Project Management skill is must.
