Job Description

The Project Engineer (PE) will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering services across a diverse portfolio of projects. The PE supports the Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM), leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers. This role requires both leadership and technical acumen to resolve engineering issues and ensure project goals related to scope, cost, and schedule are achieved efficiently. Key Responsibilities:- Assist PM/EM in managing scope, cost, schedule, and quantity deliverables Prepare Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) in consultation with EM Contribute to monthly engineering status reports Participate in design reviews and engineering coordination meetings Represent the discipline in cross-functional project meetings Prepare and review project procedures, specifications, and design criteria Review work of junior/intermediate engineers, designers, and technicians Coordinate with technical experts and facilitate knowledge sharing Perform conceptual and detailed engineering design Generate calculations, reports, specifications, and evaluations Provide training and mentoring to assigned resources Promote and implement safety in design across deliverables Track project progress for internal reporting and billing Ensure timely availability and integration of discipline-specific data Document value additions, lessons learned, and best practices Collaborate with tech teams for automation and development initiatives Adhere to quality and document management processes Track team performance and provide regular feedback Forecast resource needs and communicate with Team Lead Support project closure reporting with key learnings Prepare technical specifications, bid evaluations, and recommendations Coordinate with client-side discipline engineers throughout project lifecycle Required Qualifications & Skills:- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Marine / Civil or related engineering field M.Tech preferred Minimum 10+ years of experience in relevant engineering discipline Experience in project engineering and package coordination Strong leadership and technical supervision skills Proficiency in engineering design tools and documentation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills:- Background in marine or EPC projects Familiarity with automation tools and digital engineering PMP or equivalent certification (preferred) Show more Show less
