Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineer - Design (Casting, Plumbing, sheetmetal domain experience using Creo skills) We are actively seeking two experienced Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineers - Design with 2 to 6 years of experience, demonstrating strong proficiency in Creo for designing diverse engine components. This multifaceted role involves working extensively on casting, plumbing, and sheet metal parts within engine assemblies. Your responsibilities will include creating complex 3D models, detailed assemblies, and associated 2D drawings using Creo. A strong knowledge of the product lifecycle is essential, as you will be involved from concept generation through to production support. You must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes related to casting (e.g., sand casting, die casting), sheet metal fabrication (e.g., bending, forming, welding), and plumbing systems (e.g., tube bending, hose routing). Furthermore, expertise in Design for Assembly (DFA) is crucial, ensuring that components are designed for ease of assembly, reducing manufacturing time and costs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including powertrain engineers, manufacturing specialists, and quality control, to ensure designs meet performance requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and cost targets. Your ability to troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions will be highly valued in this dynamic environment.
