Project Lead Engineer- Automation Metals

Job Description

Leading a complete project comprising of scope of Automation and Drives system for Metals sector. Lead activities of basic and detailed engineering of automation systems including hardware and application programming. Will be responsible for technical deliveries in engineering, testing & commissioning of the systems. Will be also working on Industry 4.0 Digital Transformation projects for Steel industry customers. Key skills and competences Should have through knowledge in Industrial Automation systems, drives & motors. Should have experience in leading automation projects comprising of engineering & commissioning for Steel industry specifically on secondary side of steel production- Hot and cold mills. Should have thorough process knowledge and field experience in installation & commissioning of automation systems for processes like cold rolling mills/hot strip mills/wire rod & bar mills/primary metals/tube mills etc. Should have experience of handling site activities from front. Should be ready for extensive travelling across the globe. Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PCs, Server components of DCS knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems Knowledge on different communication protocols used between PLC & Drives or in automation
