Job Description

Role & responsibilities Cost responsibility for purchasing and procurement activities for a specific range of products Analyzing the procurement market, carrying out benchmarking Selection of international suppliers and carrying out benchmarking for components, assemblies, machines and services Conducting independent negotiation and award talks including defined decision-making authority Searching for alternative suppliers Strategic procurement in coordination with the divisions Responsibility for supplier selection and audits together with the Quality Department Determination of A suppliers and bundling of the purchasing volume Procurement marketing as specified Initiating, planning and independently implementing cost-saving projects Conclusion of development contracts, non-disclosure agreements and supply contracts on basis of technical specifications, and conclusion of outline volume contracts (in consultation with internal departments) Assistance with and processing of complaints and notifications of defects Securing supplies of purchased parts within their area of responsibility, i.e. escalation management when other internal departments such as Production Logistics are unable to manage Preferred candidate profile University degree in industrial engineering, construction engineering, business administration or any other comparable qualification Extensive job-relevant experience, preferably in international strategic purchasing Good MS Office Excel/PPT, Power BI skillset Basic SAP skills beneficial Analytical and methodical work approach Negotiation skills, proactive work approach and high-performing personality Very good English and communication skills Willingness to travel up to 30%
