Purchase Engineer

Job Description

Develop, lead, and execute Mechanical and Electrical procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement. Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality departments to understand material requirements. Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations. Maintain and update records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Resolve issues related to shipment delays, invoice discrepancies, or non-conforming goods. Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing dynamics, and new sourcing opportunities.
