The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing the purchase process, ensuring timely material availability, and building a robust vendor base to support our project and sales operations. Key Responsibilities: Procure construction/building materials such as cement, steel, tiles, sanitary ware, paints, adhesives, plumbing, electrical, etc. Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for various categories and regions. Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, and quality. Build long-term relationships with key vendors to ensure supply continuity and competitive pricing. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness. Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and track materials delivery against project timelines. Maintain proper documentation for purchase transactions and vendor contracts. Coordinate with stores, logistics, and project teams to forecast material requirements and maintain stock levels. Implement cost-saving measures and ensure procurement is within budget. Stay updated on market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP software such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc. Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools. Key Competencies: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Vendor assessment and onboarding expertise. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project demands. Understanding of GST, taxation, and purchase compliance documentation. Preferred Experience: Experience in dealing with vendors across multiple regions in India. Exposure to bulk material procurement and price fluctuation management. Experience in a similar role in a construction company, real estate firm, or building material distribution company.
