Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchase Manager to oversee and manage our company's procurement processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that purchasing activities are conducted in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team while working cross-functionally with other departments. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise in a timely manner. Procurement Process Management: Oversee and manage the entire procurement process from requisition to purchase order. Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget constraints. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, tracking orders and managing delivery schedules. Cost Management & Budgeting: Monitor purchasing budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement strategies. Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies while maintaining high product quality. Conduct market analysis to identify cost trends and assess pricing strategies. Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained without overstocking. Assist in forecasting demand and planning future purchases based on market trends and business needs. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, and Quality Assurance) to align purchasing activities with business requirements. Assist in setting up processes to streamline procurement and optimize supply chain efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and other procurement-related documents. Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, cost analysis, and other key metrics. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
