Job Description

Role & responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the hospitals objectives and operational needs16. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals while maintaining quality standards16. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of critical supplies and avoid shortages or overstocking168. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, including regular performance evaluations and contract management16. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies in all procurement activities168. Collaborate with internal departments to assess procurement needs and forecast demand accurately16. Resolve issues related to delayed, damaged, or non-compliant supplies1. Lead and mentor the purchasing team, promoting professional development and high performance6. Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, including cost analysis and inventory trends16. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, process improvements, and product standardization programs6. Support the planning and management of stock transportation and automated stock replenishment systems5. Participate in procurement steering groups, committee meetings, and represent the purchasing department as required
