Job Description

Objective Contribution: Managing day to day and capital projects purchases; managing contracts including administering, negotiating, reviewing, renewing, filing, and evaluating for availability, price, term, and quality of products. Ensuring compliance with procurement conflict of interest policies and regulations. Principal Responsibilities & Authorities: Assist in managing daily and capital project purchases. Support contract management, including negotiating, reviewing, renewing, filing, and evaluating for availability, price, term, and quality of products. Ensure compliance with procurement conflict of interest policies and regulations. Monitor supplier on-time delivery rates, cost savings, and supplier item escape rates. Contribute to the development and execution of purchasing strategies. Help identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards. Support contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align purchase activities with organizational goals. Assist in processing and reviewing purchase orders. Aid in forecasting price and market trends to identify changes in buyer-supplier power. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Support supplier performance management and assist in improving their performance through scorecards, escalation processes, rewards, and penalties. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Manage supplier risks related to financial, legal, administrative, or operational aspects. Assist in managing the internal control aspects of the purchasing function. Skills & Qualification: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred. Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation techniques. Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems. Analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
