Job Title: Pytest Automation Engineer (TV Platform) Location: Bangalore Experience: 6-9 Years Skills Required: Python, Pytest, Automation, Bash, CICD, DJango, TV Platform About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Automation Engineer to develop and maintain our critical remote testing infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our products by providing a robust and efficient testing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering automation projects. This role will directly communicate with a team of engineers, developers, and QA personnel, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient execution of projects. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day automation operations of the lab, ensuring its stability, availability, and performance. Develop and implement strategic plans for the labs automation roadmap, aligning with the companys overall product roadmap. Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Drive continuous improvement of the labs infrastructure, tools, and processes. Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to understand testing needs and provide appropriate solutions. Ensure the lab adheres to security best practices and compliance standards. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track automation performance and identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide escalation support. Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Technical Requirements: Experience working on consumer electronics platform devices (Smart TV, Set Top Box, Streaming devices); Gather test automation requirements, and deliver product to engineering customer. Understand system architecture, identify test scope, create test strategy, roll out automated process to validate TV platform components and integration. Extensive experience managing technical teams and projects, preferably in a testing or lab environment. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. Solid background in Linux system administration and networking. Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python) and automation frameworks. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools. Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React). Understanding of database systems and architecture. Experience with cloud computing platforms (preferred). Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (PyTest preferred). Experience with remote access and control technologies. Knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting. Experience with consumer device testing. Experience with video/audio streaming technologies. Experience in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
