Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Engineer with expertise in data pipelines and API testing to join our B2C e-commerce team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our data workflows and APIs that power customer experiences, product recommendations, payment processing, and logistics. Your work will directly impact millions of shoppers by maintaining a seamless and secure shopping experience. Role & responsibilities Data Pipeline Testing for B2C E-commerce Validate ETL/ELT workflows that process product catalogs, customer transactions, and shipping data. Automate data quality checks to ensure real-time inventory updates and personalized customer recommendations. Test data pipelines integrating multiple sources (e.g., CRM, payment gateways, loyalty programs). Monitor and troubleshoot data integrity issues across various platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). Implement automated data validation tests using Great Expectations, dbt tests, or PyTest. API Testing for B2C Customer Experience Develop and execute automated API tests for search, checkout, payments, order tracking, and customer profiles. Test third-party integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Google Pay, Apple Pay) for secure payments. Ensure seamless user authentication via OAuth, SSO, or multi-factor authentication APIs. Validate RESTful and GraphQL APIs handling product discovery, reviews, wishlists, and cart management. Automate API testing using Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or Newman. Test Automation & CI/CD for B2C Applications Implement automated regression tests for critical user journeys (homepage, product pages, checkout). Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). Conduct real-time monitoring of API response times and data synchronization. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with product, engineering, data science, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage and system reliability. Document test cases, automation scripts, and test execution results. Required Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data validation in relational and NoSQL databases. API testing expertise using Postman, RestAssured, or GraphQL testing tools. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). Experience with performance and security testing for customer-facing applications. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with B2C e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud). Experience with personalization and recommendation systems (A/B testing, ML-based recommendations). Knowledge of cloud-based architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) for e-commerce scalability.
