About Position: We're seeking an experienced backend engineer to join our team in developing a scalable data processing platform. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Python development and distributed database systems. Role: QA Engineer (Perl+ Linux) Location: Pune and Bangalore Experience: 6 to 12 yr Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts. Collaborate with developers and test engineers to define test strategies and requirements. Create and manage test data for automation purposes. Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure resolution in collaboration with development teams. Enhance existing automation frameworks and recommend improvements. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or CloudBees). Monitor test execution and report progress, risks, and test coverage. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation. Expertise You'll Bring: 5+ years of experience in software test automation. Proficiency with Linux systems and command-line utilities and shell scripts (bash) Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Perl, Python, Ruby). Hands-on experience with test automation tools. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Subversion, Git). Experience working with and Agile methodologies. Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured Knowledge and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL). Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering (BE/B.Tech preferred), or a related field. Master degree is a plus. Experience with Docker and Puppet Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
