Role: Senior Functional Tester Job Description: The following are the main responsibilities (but not limited to): Responsible for all aspects of the SIT/UAT cycles for assigned projects Review and analyze system specifications Writing test cases & test plans that will ensure comprehensive test coverage. Conduct hands-on functional & system integration testing; report, track and follow up on issues in a timely manner Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results, reports and track defects, verify fixes and perform follow up work to resolve issues Work closely with technical & non-technical peers and leads testers act as an integral part of the software development team using iterative development process to promote successful delivery of products and services. To be able to focus on deadlines and deliverables & ensure the aptitude to discover defects and bugs quickly. Would be responsible to conduct walkthroughs with Business, development, testing and other stakeholders and get signoffs on the functional specifications. Would be responsible for conducting application Demos to Business Users Provide a positive role model in terms of both work performance and attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Expectations include a high level of initiative and a strong commitment to job knowledge, productivity, and attention to detail Provide test manager with accurate ad precise estimates for test automation activities, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies. Requires strong analytical skills to understand requirements and drive them out where they may have been poorly documented. Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally. Knowledge: • Good knowledge of SDLC, STLC & Agile model • Knowledge in writing basic SQL queries & end to end workflow Requirements: • Strong exposure in load testing and should know all testing strategies. • Proven experience as a Quality assurance tester or similar role • Exposure and familiarity with different development methodologies such as Agile, V- Model, waterfall etc. • Experience in banking and mobile App testing • Experience in automated, functional, performance and integration testing. • Hands on experience in Jira and JMeter is desirable for bugs/issue tracking • Experience in project management QA methodology Skills: • Strong organization skills • Excellent communication skills • Critical thinker and problem solving skills • SOA Testing & Methodologies • Test plans, cases & process • Functional requirements • Scripting & documentation • Regression & negative Testing • UI & Compatibility testing • Data Interface & Migration Testing • Performance/ load/ stress testing • Testing automation • Defect or bug tracking • Test strategies & coverage’s • QA & QC Standards.
