Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our exciting start-up, working within a high performing agile engineering squad, and playing a key role in building and delivering OutThink s ground-breaking SaaS (Software as a Service) Cybersecurity Human Risk Management Platform. What youll do Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define good testing practices and techniques and contribute to the development of a product-minded culture. Take part in all activities relating to the Agile process; planning, stand-up, grooming, estimation, and retrospectives, promoting transparency and collaboration. Work closely with software engineers, DevOps engineers and other QA engineers Build test automation frameworks. Write up customer journey flows that need to be tested on a recurring basis. Perform manual testing wherever necessary. Investigate complex issues to build resolution strategies. Work with the Product Manager to review user interfaces for consistency and identify any potential problems that users might encounter. Identify QA process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement and participate in the continuous improvement of our testing practices. Define acceptance criteria for tests. You have a strong educational foundation and can demonstrate a track record of exceptional performance - whether that be academics, sport, professional, or another domain of interest. Ideally, you have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other numerate or semi-numerate discipline.4 Relevant QA automation technical skills and experience. 3+ years experience as a QA Automation Engineer working in an agile team working on a digital (preferably SaaS) product. Strong experience in automated testing, using tools such as Selenium, or equivalent. Hands-on experience with building automated test frameworks. Strong experience in manual testing, test organization, test execution and reporting. Experience writing test plans, crafting test cases and debugging. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release approval processes. A decent understanding of BDD/TDD principles and unit/end-to-end testing. Collaborative working style.
