Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our exciting start-up, working within a high performing agile engineering squad, and playing a key role in building and delivering OutThink s ground-breaking SaaS (Software as a Service) Cybersecurity Human Risk Management Platform. What youll do Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify requirements and acceptance criteria for delivered features. Work effectively in completing assigned QA tasks; writing test plans, providing feedback on features, ad hoc testing on new features, and regression testing. Document and prioritize bugs and working with the team to resolve issues. Act as a quality liaison between Engineering and the Customer Success Team, including assistance with issue reproduction and documenting resolutions. Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for resolution. Participate in release management activities, including deployment and validation of software releases. You have a strong educational foundation and can demonstrate a track record of exceptional performance - whether that be academics, sport, professional, or another domain of interest. Ideally, you have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other numerate or semi-numerate discipline. Collaborative working style. You re an effective team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You re able to work collaboratively in diverse and cross-functional teams. You ll also have proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment. Familiarity with Agile. You ll be well-practiced with Agile Development methodology, working in very short sprint cycles, led by Product Managers. Our software development process is intensely iterative. We ll also look to you to bring the following to the table: A meticulous attention to detail, and a pursuit of perfection. Experienced at writing bug reports in a professional manner for engineering teams to follow. Experienced at performing in-depth quality assurance for online software, SaaS solutions or other digital web-based products. A full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. Experience with the JIRA issue tracking tool. Understanding of secure software design principles. The following skills are highly advantageous: Experience of Postman and API-based testing. Knowledge of browser-based testing suites, such as Browserstack. Knowledge of automated testing tools, such as Cypress or Selenium.
