Role & responsibilities Ensure compliance with national and international radiation safety regulations (e.g., AERB) Supervise and monitor all activities involving radioactive materials or radiation-emitting devices. Conduct radiation surveys, contamination checks, and leak tests. Maintain and calibrate radiation detection and monitoring equipment. Prepare and maintain records of radiation doses, equipment usage, and radioactive material inventory. Coordinate and facilitate periodic audits, inspections, and licensing with regulatory authorities. Investigate and report radiation incidents or exposures and recommend corrective actions. Ensure proper storage, handling, transport, and disposal of radioactive waste. Display and update radiation warning signs and labels in compliance with standards. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies regarding radiation safety. Preferred candidate profile . Must be certified by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) or equivalent national body as a Radiological Safety Officer. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Effective communication and training abilities Good organizational and documentation practices
