Job Description

Calix India has an immediate requirement for the role of Manager, IT Operations, which will report to the Senior Director, IT Operations. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to manage the Calix India Information Technology department, encompassing all aspects of technology as it relates to Calix. This includes Management of local team resources, user support, guidance in troubleshooting, escalation point for incidents, maintenance and service, network and infrastructure maintenance, and any other technological needs. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of continuous service improvement. The Manager, IT Operations will have excellent communication skills, engaging stakeholders proactively and reactively depending on the situational needs. Responsibilities and Duties: Leadership and management of IT resources. Leverage local IT team to ensure achievement of annual goals and objectives, developed in cooperation with IT leadership and local management. Build trust partnership with the business by maintaining a relationship with the Calix India office, and acting as a liaison between local management and the IT Organization. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Understand and effectively discuss service offerings and software provided by IT A b i l i t y to u nde r stand an d man a ge c o mpl e x r e p o rt ing r e l ati o n s h i p s a nd i n c o rp o r ate m u lt i pl e la b or laws and c u lt u r al d i f fe r en c e s. Partner with IT teams and business units to define services and service levels Provide in-depth technical support to end users. Act as an escalation point to assess issues and provide solutions for problems that cannot be resolved by first level IT team resources. Liaise with L3 support and service vendors for troubleshooting issues and implementing updates/changes Support a variety of operating systems, software, email, infrastructure, and cloud-based technologies. Participate in local, regional, and global projects as appropriate to evaluate existing systems and recommend technology for upgrade and replacement; evaluate new technologies for potential applicability within Calix. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Technology or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated people leadership and team development skills. In-depth troubleshooting of Windows, MacOS, Microsoft 365, cloud-based technologies a must. Experience with vendors like; Microsoft, Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto, Cisco (Servers / Route / Switching / Firewalls), VMWare, NetApp. Azure or AWS networking a plus but not required. Ability to diagnose problems and provide solutions and/or escalate to the appropriate expertise area. Location: Bangalore, India
