Role & responsibilities Involved in the initiation of Mechanical Ventilation, maintenance of the patient on ventilator (Chest Physiotherapy, Suctioning) and weaning. Trained to perform Basic Life Support, Intubation and to assist in advanced Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Involved in the respiratory monitoring of the patients (Chest X-Ray, ABG and Scalers and loops interpretation). Detail assessment and treatment plan for the patient. Early mobilization and prevention of musculoskeletol complication in polytrauma in the ICU. Take part in initiation maintenance of non-invasive ventilation. In charge of the ventilators (SERVO MAQUET, BENNET, Prisma NIV, Hamilton), and various other AIRWAY accessories. To communicative effectively and work collaboratively with Doctors, Nursing, and Therapy colleagues to ensure delivery of a co-ordinate multi-disciplinary service. Supervision of Students and Internees of respiratory who are posted in the ICU. Regular and updating of professional knowledge and skills. Regular presentation of papers to the concerned unit in ICU and respiratory department. Got trained as PFT technologist in a multicentric phase III clinical trail including spirometry, DLCO, lung volume and Sleep Study conducting by the Pulmonology Department. Attending and taking part in the departmental meeting and proceedings.
