CAT MODELLER JD Job Description: We are looking for Catastrophe Modellers (Analyst/ Sr. Analyst, Advisor/ Sr. Advisor/ Trainee) for a multinational general insurance company. The candidate will be responsible for preparing the portfolio data with insurance and/or reinsurance terms, managing data mappings from policy systems to modelling system, generating probabilistic loss estimates using AIR Touchstone as well as understanding the loss drivers by visualizing exposure/loss summaries - The candidate will also work on various model evaluation projects and event response. The candidate is expected to take initiatives to add value to the modelling process, upskill themselves on complex catastrophe modelling concepts/different models and upcoming technologies. Skills: AIR CEDE Database schema (manipulate tables and automate tasks through backend): Intermediate/Advanced Statistics: Intermediate/Advanced including knowledge of simulation methodologies, AAL, PML/TVAR calculations in SQL Insurance and reinsurance terms coding: Intermediate/Advanced Event Response: Intermediate/Advanced Stakeholder Management, Dealing with Ambiguity, Complex problem solving, Multi-tasking: Advanced Languages: SQL (including dynamic stored procedures) Intermediate/Advanced Excel (including VBA) Intermediate/Advanced Programming skills (Preferred): Python Intermediate/Advanced QGIS/ArcGIS (Preferred): Intermediate/Advanced Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in any Quantitative Discipline, preferably, but not limited to, Mathematics/Statistics/Economics, Engineering, etc.
