Brief Summary: We are seeking a Polymer & Hose Extrusion Specialist with 5-10 years of experience in TPR, PVC, TPU, TPV, and custom polymer blends. The role focuses on extrusion process optimization, material formulation, quality control, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hose manufacturing, polymer processing, die design, and defect troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of extrusion machinery (single-screw, twin-screw), polymer rheology, and additives is required.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Extrusion Process Optimization:Oversee the extrusion process for TPR, PVC, TPU, TPV, and other polymer blends, ensuring high-quality output.Optimize machine parameters (temperature, speed, pressure, die design) to achieve consistent wall thickness, flexibility, and durability.Troubleshoot extrusion defects (e.g., surface imperfections, air pockets, adhesion issues) and implement corrective actions.Material Science & Custom Formulations:Work with TPR, PVC, TPU, TPV, and other advanced polymer blends to enhance hose performance.Develop and test new material formulations to meet customer and industry specifications.Collaborate with R&D teams to evaluate additives, stabilizers, and plasticizers for improved processing and durability.Production & Quality Control:Ensure adherence to quality standards (ASTM, ISO) for hose manufacturing.Conduct material testing (tensile strength, flexibility, thermal stability, abrasion resistance).Work closely with QA and manufacturing teams to minimize defects and enhance process efficiency.Machine & Process Improvements:Maintain and optimize extrusion lines, dies, screws, and cooling systems for maximum efficiency.Identify opportunities for automation and process streamlining.Assist in capital investment planning for new extrusion technologies.Skills and QualificationsBachelors/Master’s in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Plastics Technology.8+ years of hands-on experience in polymer extrusion, specifically in TPR, PVC, TPU, TPV, and custom formulations.Expertise in hose extrusion processes, die design, and processing parameters.Knowledge of polymer compounding, additives, and rheology.Experience with extrusion machinery (single-screw, twin-screw extruders).Proficiency in process troubleshooting, quality control, and defect analysis.
