Safety Manager

Job Description

Major Responsibilities: Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify workplace hazards and risks. Providing safety training to employees on topics such as machine safety, chemical handling, and emergency response procedures. Investigating accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent future incidents. Maintaining safety records and documentation, including incident reports and training records. Collaborating with management to develop safety goals and metrics for continuous improvement. Conducting job hazard analyses and recommending controls to mitigate risks. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives. Leading safety committee meetings and facilitating communication on safety-related issues. Keeping abreast of changes in safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety within the organization. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor/ master’s in industrial safety Experience: 10 to 15 years Industry Preference: Experience of manufacturing / heavy fabrication/ automobile Industry is preferred.
