Role & responsibilities Description Analyse, evaluation, elimination of accidents/corrections in the department. Implement safety systems in work-place. check and maintain fire safety systems and eliminate Possibilities of fire accidents. Make emergency evacuation plans/building safety culture in company. Develops, implements, and manages the Injury/Illness Prevention Program and directs and coordinates the participation of departments within that program. Conducts regular safety audits of departments including the inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations, and EHS policy; reports findings to department and recommends changes to establish safe work conditions. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; maintains proper documentation to conform to record-keeping requirements of Tamil nadu labor code. Monitors Tamil nadu labor compliance with applicable laws and regulations; evaluates and determines impact of changing regulations; serves as the primary representative of the Dept with regulatory agencies; accompanies inspectors during significant visits or delegates duties to departmental safety representatives; determines, plans, and implements necessary follow-up action to comply with laws; disseminates information to departments as appropriate. Statutory compliances tracking & ensuring on timely submission of licenses for renewal. Meets regularly with Risk Management staff to ensure appropriate action is taken in compliance with County safety policies to correct hazardous conditions which result in workers' compensation claims. Conduct Safety Month Competitions/ Environmental Day celebrations to motivate the employees. Assess the risk of all machines and process in all areas and reduce the risk level to as low as reasonably Practicable. Conduct Internal audit and maintain the Documents Periodically. Conduct EHS training periodically as per the EHS Annual Training Plan. Monitor the Health of the employees and maintain no health exposure to employees Maintain the Hazardous waste and dispose the waste as per the TNPCB Act and rules. Monitor the EHS Equipments conditions and Certify for their Safety conditions Conduct Safety Committee as per the regulations. Monitoring Environment parameters Comply the TNPCB Legal requirements. Liaison with TNPCB Key Performance Indicators: Analyze, evaluation, elimination of accidents. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; maintains proper documentation to conform to record-keeping requirements of Tamilnadu labor code. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience as safety manager Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment Excellent organizational and motivational skills Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Diploma In Industrial Safety from RLI / M.E in Safety management or relevant field is preferred.
