Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities of a Sales Engineer 1. Pre-Sales Activities Understand customer requirements and identify how products/services meet those needs. Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations. Work closely with the sales team to develop sales strategies. Assist in preparing proposals, tenders, and RFPs (Request for Proposals). Collaborate with the marketing team to create sales materials. 2. Sales Support Address technical questions and concerns from potential clients. Recommend solutions based on customer needs and budget. Act as a bridge between the sales and engineering teams. Conduct product trials, proof of concepts (PoCs), or pilot projects. 3. Customer Relationship Management Build strong relationships with clients and provide ongoing support. Offer training to customers on product usage and best practices. Handle customer feedback and communicate it to the product development team. 4. Post-Sales Activities Assist in the implementation and integration of products/services. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers. Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction. 5. Market and Product Knowledge Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and advancements. Provide feedback to R&D teams for product improvements. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities. Key Skills Required for a Sales Engineer Strong technical knowledge in the relevant industry (e.g., IT, manufacturing, engineering) Excellent communication and presentation skills Problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams Customer-oriented mindset Sales and negotiation skills
