Sales Executive

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to manage and grow our sales portfolio in the Indian publishing market. The role involves promoting our publications to bookstores, academic institutions, libraries, distributors, and online platforms while building strong client relationships. This is only for candidates who are from Mumbai. Role & responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Identify and establish new sales channels including bookstores, schools, colleges, libraries, and corporate clients. Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients and partners. Pitch new titles, backlist, and promotional offers to clients. Coordinate with the marketing and editorial teams for campaign alignment and product knowledge. Track and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities. Attend book fairs, industry events, and exhibitions to network and promote our publications. Provide timely feedback to management regarding client needs and market conditions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, English Literature, Mass Communication, or a related field. 4-7 years of sales experience in the publishing, media. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Passion for books and the publishing industry. Willingness to travel extensively across regions. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of regional languages and publishing trends in India. Experience dealing with institutional sales (schools, colleges, libraries). Familiarity with digital publishing and online book platforms.
