Job Title: Sales Head South Tamil Nadu & Kerala for a FMCG Co at Madurai Location: Madurai/ Coimbatore Industry: FMCG (Food products only ) Experience: Minimum 15 years in FMCG FOOD sales, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role in TN & Kerala Experience in RICE/DHALL/OIL/Maida etc required Reporting to: National Sales Head Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with national objectives. Forecast sales volumes and market share targets for Kerala & South TN. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies. 2. Business Development: Drive primary and secondary sales across general trade, modern trade, and emerging channels. Expand distribution reach by appointing new distributors and optimizing existing ones. Identify and execute growth opportunities in underpenetrated areas. 3. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales In-Charges (TSIs), and field sales personnel. Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews. Train the team on product knowledge, selling skills, and market execution. 4. Distributor Management: Ensure healthy ROI and working capital hygiene for channel partners. Implement trade marketing initiatives and schemes effectively. Monitor stock levels, claims, payments, and distributor audits. 5. Sales Operations & MIS: Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership. Use technology tools (e.g., DMS/SFA/CRM) to improve field productivity. Collaborate with supply chain for demand planning and order fulfillment. 6. Compliance & Brand Representation: Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and legal norms. Represent the brand at trade events, retailer meetings, and key account presentations. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong FMCG market knowledge, especially in South TN & Kerala Proven people management and leadership ability Channel development and distribution management expertise Strong analytical and negotiation skills Fluency in Tamil & English and Malayalam Qualification: MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred CTC: Maximum gross up to 30 LPA Pl share your updated resume to jobs@banyantalenthr.com
