Role & responsibilities Design &ImplementationUnderstand the customer requirement in terms of performance standards, timeline and budget for the productDefine the design standards and obtain approval from the MDReview the detailed work plan with break-up of the design and manufacturing activities of the product and monitor the progress of work (Planned Vs. Achieved) on daily basisDrive the team to the new product development as per the organizations needsDrive the development of optimal design of the products with focus on cost, quality and energy efficient operationsReview and monitor the preparation of detailed designs and drawings of Refrigeration Systems, Air Dryers, Aftercoolers, Compressed Air Filters, Filter elements, Accessories related to Compressed Air Systems, Chillers (Oil, Water and Air) and related accessories, Air Conditioning Systems for various applications etc. by the teamEnsure the designs are as per the relevant codes, set standards and timelinesEnsure timely development of prototypes and testing for compliance with all performance standardsRevise and develop final drawings and BOM after the test results in the factoryDefine the manufacturing process by finalizing the die design, template design and the jigs and fixtures design for the manufacturing processReview and standardize the Bill of Materials for each productEnsure verification of the changes in the cost of the components in Bill of MaterialUpdate and amend the changes in cost in the Bill of Materials and forward the same to Commercial DepartmentAnalyze and evaluate quotations from vendors and obtain approval from the Top Management for finalizing the vendorOversee the manufacturing of the product for final delivery to the customerEnsure the team provides technical support in commissioning and installation of the product at the customer site.Ensure adherence to the department budget.Drive continuous improvements in quality of designs; reduce failure rates, ensure manufacturability of designs.Identify current market trends, collect feedback from customers, service team and incorporate the same into future designs. Drive a culture of innovation in the departmentQuality AssuranceEnsure timely development and modification of QAP(Quality Assurance Plan) as per the product and organization's needCoordinate and ensure timely approval of the QAP and Drawings from the Industrial Consultants based on the Project requirementsConcept SellingInteract with the customer and identify the latent need of the customerMap the customers need with the innovative solutions that Sanpar can provide.Generate new potential opportunities for the organization by explaining the varied product benefits and USPs (Unique Selling Proposition) and create the need for the productSupport Sales and Service TeamSupport the Sales and Customer support team in responding to customer enquiresReview technical specification sheet, cost estimation and concept or schematic drawings whenever required and submit the same to sales support team.
