Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant to join our dynamic team and support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the SAP Production Planning module.Key Responsibilities:Master Data Management:Maintain Product Master data for both FERT (Finished Goods) and ROH (Raw Materials).Define and manage BOMs (Bill of Materials), including various types such as multi-level BOM, variant BOM.Creation and manage Work Centers, ensuring appropriate Work Center Categories are assigned.Develop and manage Standard Routing (Task Lists) for production processes.Configure and manage Production Versions, including handling lot sizes for production orders.Production Order Management:Configure and manage Production Orders, including understanding different order types and the flow of production.Set up and manage Material Availability Check Rules for production order processing.Configure Capacity Check Categories to ensure resources are optimally allocated during production.Understand and configure Scheduling Types to optimize production timelines.Develop and apply Costing Formulas for accurate cost tracking and management in production.Production Process Flow:Automate the release process for Production Orders to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.Automate Goods Issue (GI) and Goods Receipt (GR) processes to streamline inventory movement.Understand and handle various types of Goods Issue, Goods Receipt, and Material Document flows during production.Manage technical completion and production order settlement for actual cost tracking.Planning & Execution:Manage Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) production strategies, ensuring alignment with business requirements.Configure and implement Plan to Produce (P2P) and Plan to Sell strategies within SAP.Develop and manage Planning with PIR (Planned Independent Requirements), ensuring alignment with demand forecasting.Implement and manage Material Requirement Planning (MRP) processes and ensure the system generates optimal purchase orders and production orders.Implement and manage Consumption-based Planning, utilizing reorder point planning and forecast-based planning.Advanced Production Planning:Configure Demand Management to ensure proper planning of production based on sales forecasts and actual orders.Implement Long-Term Planning (LTP) for strategic planning of capacity and materials.Manage by-products, co-products, and scrap in production processes, ensuring proper accounting and production flow.Batch Management and Quality Control:Handle production processes involving batches, ensuring proper batch management and traceability.Ensure integration with SAP QM (Quality Management) for inspection and quality control during production.System Optimization and Automation:Develop and implement solutions to automate the release, goods issue, and goods receipt processes, ensuring minimal manual intervention and higher efficiency.Optimize processes for improved production and material management. SAP Integration & Customization: -Perform detailed configuration of SAP PP and QM modules to meet the business requirements.Analyze business processes and provide SAP-based solutions to optimize production planning and quality management.Customize SAP PP and QM integration points to enhance end-to-end process efficiency from planning through to product quality.Support the integration between PP and QM for smooth transfer of data related to production orders, quality inspections, and lot management.Requirement Gathering & Analysis:Collaborate with business users to gather detailed requirements and translate them into system specifications.Provide recommendations for best practices and industry standards to improve integration between PP and QM. System Configuration & Enhancements:Configure SAP PP and QM modules in alignment with business needs, including Master Data (Material Master, Bill of Materials, Work Centers, etc.), Order Management, and Inspection Plans.Develop custom enhancements, reports, and interfaces between SAP PP and QM to ensure seamless data flow and reporting capabilities.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP PP and QM integration, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Negative Testing: -Prepare test plans, execute negative testing scenarios, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for both new integrations and existing process enhancements.
