Role Overview We’re seeking a seasoned Scriptwriter/Screenplay Writer with a strong foothold in the Indian media and advertising ecosystem— not just a writer, but a deal-closer. The ideal candidate will combine creative writing skills with client acquisition expertise , especially in managing relationships with ad agencies, production houses, dubbing studios, and movie studios . You will play a hybrid role where your narrative talent meets business strategy —engaging with creative teams while also driving sales closures and long-term client retention. Key Responsibilities Script & Screenplay Development Develop creative, engaging, and emotionally resonant scripts/screenplays for ad films, branded content, and short-format IPs. Adapt scripts across languages, ensuring cultural relevance and linguistic consistency. Collaborate with Vaanee AI's tech and dubbing teams to align scripts with multilingual voice tech capabilities. Client Acquisition & Sales Closure Identify, reach out to, and build relationships with Mumbai and regional-based ad agencies, production houses, dubbing studios, and OTT/movie studios. Pitch Vaanee AI's dubbing tech as a creative and production-enhancing tool to these clients. Own the sales funnel – from prospecting and reference-based lead generation to final closure and onboarding. Account Management & Retainer Growth Act as a dedicated account manager post-conversion to ensure client satisfaction, recurring business, and retainer contracts. Monitor deliverables, timelines, and client expectations. Recommend innovative dubbing applications and new project opportunities to clients. Who You Are A seasoned professional with 5–15 years of experience in scriptwriting, ad filmmaking, or media production , coupled with sales/BD acumen . Well-networked across the advertising and media industry, with strong references and client rapport. Possess a blend of creativity and commercial mindset —able to see scripts not just as stories but as products that solve client pain points. A skilled negotiator and closer , capable of pitching with authority, storytelling flair, and strategic insights. Comfortable with orthodox and unconventional sales practices – from warm intros to cold pitching to high-level prospecting.
