We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Instructor -Web Development to join our Computer Science Department . This is an academic-focused role , requiring a strong background in Web Development, teaching, and mentoring students in core Computer Science subjects. This is a full time Academic role at Ajeenkya DY Patil University , Pune. Key Responsibilities Course Development Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Topics like Javascript, React.js, Typescript etc. Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum. Academic Excellence Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation. Research Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations. Qualifications Experience: Must-Have: Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Frontend Development. Proficiency in JS,CSS,React.JS, Angular (must be comfortable picking up new languages quickly). Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience with User interface , performance optimization, and modern frameworks. Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students. Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics. Good-to-Have: Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools. Interview Process The selection process consists of three rounds designed to assess technical expertise, teaching ability, and cultural fit: Round 1 - Technical Evaluation: Assessment of Frontend development expertise, coding proficiency, and problem-solving skills. Round 2 - Topic Delivery Assessment: Candidates will be required to deliver a mock lecture to evaluate teaching methodology, engagement, and conceptual clarity.
