Our mission revolves around harnessing India s exceptional game development talent to create top-tier titles that transcend boundaries Overview: Mayhem Studios is looking for a skilled 3D Artist to help us build exciting new worlds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for games, a strong sense for aesthetically pleasing spaces, and experience with art asset creation and world building in Unreal. As a 3D Artist, you will be crafting the game world that players will experience. You will primarily be asked to develop terrain/biome/level assets, but you ll ideally also be comfortable creating structures and props as well. This is a full-time position at our Bangalore offices, offering competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities: Develop 3D art assets for mobile games, including props, biomes, terrains, and level assets. Contribute to the creation of props, terrains, levels, maps, and other art assets for cinematic purposes. Collaborate with the 3D Lead, Art Director, and other artists to streamline production workflows, Optimize all assets to ensure high performance in-engine. Work closely with Art, Design, and Engineering teams to achieve a harmonious balance between visual quality, gameplay requirements, and technical performance. Requirements: Experience : Minimum of 5 years of professional game development experience as a 3D Artist. Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing relevant artwork, including environment art, modeling, UV layouts, textures, and demonstrating the full high-poly to low-poly workflow. Skills : Expert-level proficiency in 3D art fundamentals, including modeling, sculpting, UV mapping, texturing, materials, topology, LOD creation, and composition. Mastery of standard 3D tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, and other relevant software. Knowledge : Solid understanding of game development tools, terminology, and methodologies. Communication : Must be fluent in English and capable of clear, effective communication. Collaboration : A strong team player and problem-solver who accepts feedback constructively, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and consistently meets deadlines. Self-Motivation : A proactive, self-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organization : Highly organized with a strong ability to adhere to protocols, naming conventions, and file management structures. Nice to have: In addition to biome/terrain work, any skill with structures, props, or hard surface is also a plus.
